PowerPoint Assignment: A PowerPoint How to . . .
 Assignment: Create a PowerPoint Presentation that provides step-by-step instructions for how to do or make something.

 Required elements

  1. A title slide, including a “by you” line.
  2. An ending slide, including credits (names of anyone involved).
  3. Sources for all illustrations must be provided (may be placed at the end of the credits).  Original illustrations must be identified by how each was created (for instance, “taken with a digital camera,”  “created in Paint,”  “drawn by hand and scanned,” etc.) Refer to your Graphics Assignment for guidelines.
  4. At least 5 steps or instructions.
  5. No more than 1 step or instruction per slide.
  6. Each step must include both an illustration and a written instruction.
  7. At least 2 slides must have animation.
  8. You must include at least 1 original illustration.
  9. At least 3 different slide transitions must be used.
  10. Your presentation must play automatically.
  11. All special words, terms, or names must be defined and the source of the definition provided, for example a URL or a dictionary name.
  12. Submit your project as a PowerPoint presentation file (.ppt), not as a movie or a show.

 Sound is optional.

 Note that the minimum number of slides is 8:  Title slide, 5 instruction slides, a credit slide and illustrations sources slide.

 How you will be graded:

9 or 10 points you must satisfactorily meet all 12 requirements.
7 or 8 points    “      “            “               “     at least 11 requirements.
5 or 6 points    “      “            “               “     at least 7 requirements.
3 or 4 points    “      “            “               “     at least 4 requirements.
1 or 2 points    “      “            “               “     at least 3 requirements.
0 points less than 2 requirements met.

Due at the beginning of class on Nov. 29, 2011. We will show your presentations in class. Please bring your presentation on your thumb drive and transfer it to the instructor's computer.
